ASADA Combined OWI Event, Minley, Wraysbury 8 - 12 Apr 2013.

The Army Sub-Aqua Association is holding an OWI Combined Instructor Training Event in South East UK 8-12 Apr 13. This event is aimed at taking suitable candidates from no instructional qualifications at all through to being an Open Water Instructor (OWI) in one course. This event is open to all military divers of Dive Leader grade or above. priority will be given to ASADA members. Substantially reduced rates for ASADA members or members of branches/clubs registered with ASADA. Reduced rates for members of RNRMSAA and RAFSAA branches too. Civilians welcome!

RAFSA OWI Combined Event, Gibraltar 17-28 Jun 13.

The RAF Sub-Aqua Association is holding a OWI Combined Instructor Training Event in Gibraltar from 17-28 June 13. This event is aimed at taking suitable candidates from no instructional qualifications at all through to being an Open Water Instructor (OWI) in one course. This event is open to all military divers of Dive Leader grade or above, priority will be given to RAFS-AA members and a reserve list will be maintained.

Anyone interested in taking part in this expedition should email the RAFSA Training TeamRAFS-AA with a short CV of their diving qualifications and experience.

 

 

RAFSA AI Combined Event, Ascension 10-22 Nov 13.

The RAF Sub-Aqua Association is holding a Combined Instructor Training Event in Ascension from 10-22 Nov 13. This event is aimed at taking suitable candidates from Open Water Instructor (OWI) to Advanced Instructor (AI) in one course. This event is open to all military divers of Advanced Diver or above who are already OWI. Priority will be given to RAFS-AA members and a reserve list will be maintained.

The Army Diving Centre based at Bovington Dorset, is now well and truly up and running. Cliff Pearn has now assumed the role of Chief Instructor.

Cyprus Joint Service Adventurous Training Centre - Scuba Diving Courses are available FREE to all serving personnel regardless of location

 

For Course Dates follow instructions below:

Priority will be given to island personnel, however they are mostly run undersubscribed at 50% loading. To apply follow these simple instructions:

2. Under JS COURSES MENU (LHS) Click "Book a Course by centre"

3. Select CJSATC from the Drop Down Menu

4. Select the course you would like to do from the drop down menu and click "CONTINUE" (this will then give you a list of the courses and dates)

5.Select required course, and fill in the booking form

6.Dont forget to get provisional approval from your Line Manager. Click Submit. SIMPLES!


On course confirmation, RAF Trooping Flights are then booked through your Unit Movements Clerk. Flights leave RAF Brize Norton on a saturday and leave Akrotiri on a Sunday. This causes no more disruption to your place of work than attending a course in the UK.

JSSADC needs You!

JSSADC are constantly looking for sport divers and above to act as rescue divers during the Ocean Diver Courses.  The Courses listed below will require Rescue Divers to dive from Tue - Fri which will include 1 pool dive and 5 Open Water Dives.  As said they only need to be Sport diver qualified and will be classed as on duty whilst at Bovisand.  Accommodation will be arranged but transport will be at own unit expense. Volunteers must be in possession of a current Annex 8C medical.
